Thursday’s scavenger hunt was my very first day mentoring with OWIP. I was a little nervous about how it would be- would the child assigned to me have fun? Would I be able to teach him or her anything? Would I learn something?
I had a wonderful time, and so did Frankie, my young photographer.
As soon as we got outside with his camera, his happiness made me at ease. He was skipping from one photographic subject to another, and exclaiming, “this is the best day ever!” It was his first day of OWIP, too. He really enjoyed the scavenger hunt, and I could tell he felt very accomplished when we found every item on the list. He said, “we make a great team” and we gave each other a high five.
I’m looking forward to the next session of OWIP!
