David Perry is in his 42nd year as a staff photographer for the Lexington Herald-Leader.
A Lexington native, he started his photography interest at age 13 when he built a pinhole
camera out of a shoebox, thanks to a TV network science show aimed at young people.
“I see the same kind of enthusiasm and creative spark coming from the kids in this program”, he says.
