Ron GarrisonMultimedia Director
For the past 35 years Ron has worked as a staff photographer, Director of
Photography, Visuals Editor and currently Multimedia Director for the
Lexington Herald-Leader.
A native of Louisville and a graduate of the University of Kentucky Ron
oversees photography, news art and online multimedia. In 1995, after being
named Director of Photography, he converted the paper’s darkrooms into a
computer lab, overseeing the staff’s conversion from film to digital.
Ron oversees the daily coverage of local stories by staff and freelance
photographers as well as working with picture editors, artists, designers
and news editors on the presentation of all visual content.
