Christina Gora

Christina_Profile
Christina is a hopeless romantic. She spends her weekends photographing real life love stories,
and she still cannot believe that people pay her to do it. For Christina, being a wedding photographer is a
dream come true. After all, as Christina says “It’s like being invited to a party every weekend, complete with
good food, dancing, and an abundance of people living in romance, and happy to be alive.”
Even with the thrill of telling romantic love stories from behind a camera, Christina feels
compelled to chase a love of a different kind. It is a love that most people in this world are not used
to seeing, because it is not easy to accept.
The world is that of a different color when shown from a child’s perspective. A child can instantly
make a seemingly uninviting neighborhood look warm and inviting. Christina believes that love and
joy can be found in all places, regardless of class, country, or race. “It’s important to teach children how to
photograph what they love because when times get tough, and they will, it’s the love that will keep them going,
Christina says.” As The Beatles once sang, “All You Need Is Love.”
Christina also realized from participating in OWIP that a child’s love is contagious, and she looks forward to
participating in the workshop as much as the children do.

Christina is a Pendleton County, Kentucky native, a senior at the
University of Kentucky, and owner of Catana Photography.
